— Fewer steps

Fewer steps between sample and result.

Depending on the reference method, preparation may include dilution, filtration or pH adjustment. For suitable samples, IC-COLOR™ removes that step.

— Sample range

From pale to opaque.

IC-COLOR™ reads color and absorbance directly across liquids ranging from pale to very dark, without first adjusting the sample to fit the instrument.

— Current application

Built first for sugar color at 420 nm.

IC-COLOR™ 4200Å is configured at 420 nm for ICUMSA-equivalent sugar-color measurement, reading undiluted, unfiltered syrup directly in seconds.

— One platform, application-specific wavelengths

One platform. Application-specific wavelengths.

IC-COLOR™ uses a fixed wavelength selected for the target measurement. IC-COLOR™ 4200Å is currently configured at 420 nm for sugar color, while other wavelengths can be configured and evaluated for specific applications.

IC-COLOR™ Inline

Bring the measurement to the process.
  • +Continuous in-process measurement
  • +Less dependence on grab sampling

The same high-absorbance and scattering capability that helps at the bench is what makes inline measurement — for example on a sugar centrifuge — interesting.

— Technology

Built on patented Spec-Imaging technology.

IC-COLOR™ extracts absorbance-related information in liquids where scattering complicates conventional photometry.
